Microbes, global warming, market mayhem worry wheat growers
It seems farmers simply cannot produce enough wheat to keep up with Earth’s population explosion. All it will take is one unforeseen disaster to leave millions starving. Ominously, one Mayan 2012 prediction from their prophetic books called Chilam Balam predict a famine between the years 2022-2032. (Read about these predictions in my book, Mayan Calendar Prophecies: Predictions for 2012-2052.) The news headlines seem to support this prediction.

Acidification May Push Already Over-Stressed Oceans into the Red
The Mayan predictions for 2012 include references to famine for the second half of the 20 year “katun 2 ahau” cycle that begins in 2012. Thus the years 2012-2022 should be normal but the years 2022-2032 may be a time of starvation. This news article on a U.N. report seems to support the famine prediction. The Maya Katun Prophecies in their books called Chilam Balam predicted a famine for the second half … Read entire article »

New Book Reveals the Science Behind Mayan Prophecies
The new book, Mayan Calendar Prophecies: Predictions for 2012-2052, takes a scientific approach to the often overhyped and sensationalized topic of the Mayan calendar and 2012 prophecies. The author begins by revealing that the ancient Maya believed in a 256-year cycle that governed the rise and fall of civilizations. The Maya divided this 256-year cycle into thirteen 20-year periods called katuns. They developed predictions for each katun by looking back through their extensive written histories and … Read entire article »
